What an agent actually is

Lesson 1 of 4

An agent is a name, a personality, and a set of instructions you write in plain language. That is the whole of it. There is no code to write and nothing to install.

Your plan includes a set number of seats. A seat is one agent: its own name, its own personality, its own purpose. You start with Gig, an executive assistant, and you add your own as you go.

The part people get wrong on the first try is scope. An agent that is meant to do everything does nothing in particular, and you cannot tell whether it is working. Pick one job you would otherwise do yourself this week.
